In the tradition of researchers dealing with emotions in theory and application, there is a strong community in emotion and affective research in Germany. Based on various projects and activities like HUMAINE and different DFG founded projects the acitvities in the field were strengthened. As we might know, a prosperous development is grounded on an active communication between researches and disciplines. Therefore, we (in particular the chairs: Ronald Böck and Björn Schuller) welcome all researchers related to emotions and affective computing from Germany and those who have strong relations to the German research community. We encourage all to actively participate on the LIG, sharing ideas, start discussion, announcing events, etc.
