Involved in handling and sending out bids, assessing the bids, setting up standard documents and guidelines, making sure the conferences are being organized in a way AAAC sees fit (e.g. review quality, process, etc...), dealing with opportunities for AAAC preconference and AAAC sponsored workshops at other conferences.
This committee is in charge of arranging, promoting and deciding on e.g. online lecture series, special events for students, summer schools, arranging the doctoral consortium at ACII.
The awards and fellow committee is in charge of the selection process for the AAAC fellow, AAAC PhD award, Best paper award at ACII, and the coordination with best of TAC journal paper.
The outreach committee deals with mailing lists, website updates, media coverage around conferences, events etc...,. It keeps the social media channels up to date, and talks to companies to help out finding sponsors for ACII. Anything related to making AAAC and affective computing known to the outside world and attracting new people to the society is the responsibility of the outreach committee.
